Developer Training

UPMACS Professional Software Services

Devloper Training

UPMACS Development System training will provide your operation with the skills necessary to build, maintain and grow ground station or broadcast center M&C systems. UPMACS will provide 5 days of onsite training from a seasoned UPMACS system developer for up to 5 students.

Students will learn how to:

  • build device drivers
  • configure ports
  • create registers
  • build intuitive GUI screens & logic
  • program with SCL

Typically, training is geared around projects that are in progress. The course does not require any previous programming experience. A clear understanding of the Windows operating system and a general understanding of equipment protocols is an ideal foundation for the future UPMACS developer.

IMPORTANT: We stand by our developers.

The UPMACS development system is commercially available because it provides customers and business partners with options. Options that will increase return on investment and open new business opportunities with minimal investment. Building and maintaining M&C software systems has been our business for over 30 years. UPMACS only wants to see you in the driver seat when it makes sense for you. Certified UPMACS developers receive the same commitment from UPMACS as any turnkey system customer. The nature of the UPMACS software architecture and functionality enables the UPMACS support team to quickly observe, comment on and correct system design and functions easily via email & telephone. Your an UPMACS developer, we stand by you!

What are the benefits of having UPMACS development skills in-house?

For the Owner/Operator

  • Design and build new systems from scratch
  • Grow and maintain systems at your own pace
  • Make small fixes and changes on-the-fly

You will see your return on investment over and over again by avoiding the typical expenses that are associated with hard coded modular M&C systems.

For the System Integrator

Carrying gear to sales meetings is not alway s practical, having an UPMACS equipment emulator loaded on a notebook will allow you to demonstrate your equipments features & functions without the actual gear present.Extend and compliment your service offerings to include complete M&C system design and integration.

Establishing your own M&C software service does not require that you build an M&C software product from scratch. Your customers will use the (COTS) UPMACS Operate system and your team will build your customers station files using the UPMACS development system.

For the Equipment Manufacturer

Your equipment is being sold and integrated into systems around the world. Add value to your products and services by having the skills and tools to easily develop GUI’s and emulators for your gear.

Manufacturers Protocol Design & Testing

Developing new hardware products is usually done around very tight schedules. Once your protocol spec is completed an equipment emulator can be designed and ready for testing before the actual hardware prototype is off the line.

Build equipment emulators as:

Sales & Training Tools

Having an UPMACS equipment emulator will enable your sales force to familiarize themselves and potentially train themselves on your gears functions and features without having the hardware present.

M&C System Integration and Testing tool

How often do equipment manufacturers ship gear to the M&C suppliers for driver development? This takes time, money and effects inventory. If you had an UPMACS emulator, the M&C supplier (UPMACS or anyone else) would be able to simulate command response scenarios and complete their driver testing & development without your hardware present.

Build Custom GUI Interfaces

Build a precise representation of any piece of equipment, right down to the colors, buttons, dials, knobs and LEDs. Functionally the only limitation is your equipments command and status protocol. There is no reason this interface could not communicate directly with an emulator to enhance any of the above emulation applications.
